Can humble Cotes du Rhone ever make the earth move Presented by the Oxford Chelt Wine School.

Friday 12th @ 15:15

Some claim that Côtes du Rhône is simply too plain to ever have real sex appeal but quality of both grape-growing and wine making has made huge strides in the last 30 years. Lots more characterful wines are being made, and this tasting presents six good examples from a wide source of retailers at different price points – we’ve tasted dozens to find the best for you, including some Côtes du Rhône-Villages, and have also included a good Australian copy by way of comparison.

This presentation is given by Nick Gay, of Oxford Chelt Wine School, an independent wine school specialising in fun, informal tastings designed to appeal to all lovers of wine, no experience required! Our tastings take place regularly at the Wilson Café and Hotel du Vin in Cheltenham and at St Peter’s College, Oxford.
